WONDER, MEADOW E. FULL NAME: Meadow Eden Wonder AGE: 18 BIOLOGICAL GENDER: Female MEMBER GROUP: Civilian HOME COUNTRY: Invictus OCCUPATION: Student; Works at a nearby Flower Shop as the assistant part time POKEMON // WHAT ARE YOU? SPECIES: Pichu ABILITY: Lightning Rod LEVEL: 10 EGG MOVE AND CLASS BONUS: Tickle + Disarming Voice; 500G DRASTIC CHANGES: Normal OVERALL APPEARANCE Meadow is the prime image of what a normal Pichu looks like. Meadow is a yellow electric mouse Pokemon, just like any other Pichu, with pink electric sacs on her cheeks. She has a small nose, and two brown eyes on a round face. Her mouth is capable of forming large grins, and her snout is short. Her ears are angular, wide, and have black edges, which both move around and are the primary indicator of how she is feeling. She has short arms with small paws that are round nub where four fingers would otherwise be should she have been a Pikachu, with tiny opposable thumbs. Meadow has two round feet feet that are almost as large as her arms, and a black tail in a small, jagged shape. Just like your average Pichu, Meadow stands 1'00'', weighs 4.4 lbs., and is a semi-quadruped. She primarily walks on all fours but is capable of moving as a bipedal as well, so she's only a semi-quadruped. PERSONALITY // WHO ARE YOU? LIKES ✔Garden/Nature: Meadow has always been the oddball of her family for adoring plants and nature almost as much as any Grass-Type Pokemon would. She's even become a pro at growing her own garden of flowers because she loves them so much. ✔Peace/Quiet: Meadow likes having fun and all, but more than that she loves her times of peace and quiet by herself. Just listening to the wind in her garden, or perhaps watching the waves flow in the nearby lakes. But more importantly, Meadow just likes to be left alone with her own thoughts. She is quite the thinker, and is often lost in her head a lot. ✔Knowledge: Meadow is an intelligent Pichu and highly educated. Being a Pokemon who was always striven in gave Meadow a bit of an edge with her studies. Because of her love for peace and being in her mind, she loves studying and learning as much as she can. Meadow, despite not being very social, still wants to better herself bit by bit. Perhaps, knowledge is the most important thing to her, if only for her own personal growth. ✔Solitude: Meadow may be a friendly Pichu, but she's very much an introvert. Being around too many Pokemon simply saps her of energy. That's not to say that she can't be around other Pokemon, but she can only handle so much of it. Being non-confrontational, Meadow primarily avoids socializing any Pokemon for the purpose of avoiding any fights or conflicts. The last thing she wants is anyone being mad at her, and would rather not make friends if confrontation is a part of the package of having friends. DISLIKES ✖Socializing: Despite being a nice Pokemon, Meadow doesn't particularly like interacting with other Pokemon. Let me rephrase that for clarification. She doesn't like making new friends. It is very possible to become a friend of Meadow, but she hates interacting with new Pokemon which makes it hard at the same time. ✖Loud Noises/Chaos: Meadow is timid by nature, and as a result is easily frightened. On top of that, she has a lot of fears, but perhaps her biggest fear, probably, is complete and utter chaos. When things get so bad she's incapable of understanding what even was happening, she becomes incapable of helping. At any moment, a war could break out. These are the moments that Meadow dreads. She also hates thunder storms, quite ironically. ✖Competition:Meadow isn't a competitive Pokemon, and as a result isn't all that experienced nor fond of it. She doesn't like losing because she feels bad, but she doesn't like winning because she makes other Pokemon feel bad, Battles are probably the worst just because she has to actively hurt Pokemon to win. If it were up to her, she'd stay as far away from competitions of all kinds as possible. ✖Confrontation:Meadow is a non-confrontational Pichu and is willing to do anything and everything to avoid any sort of conflict. Yelling at Meadow is, perhaps, the best way to cause her to want to distance herself as far away from other Pokemon as possible. It's pretty much the very thing she hates the most, and is the core contribution to her anti-social behavior. HABITS ►Whenever Meadow thinks she's alone in her garden, she ends up singing to herself, but if she ever gets caught, she tends to scream. This usually causes her to unleash a Disarming voice at the unsuspecting traveler. ►Whenever she's put into a stressful or intimidating situation, Meadow's volume gets softer the more nervous she gets. If it gets bad enough she'll just stop talking. She has been known to go mute whenever trying to speak to a stranger who is trying to talk to her about anything other than flowers. Just bringing up flowers will un-mute her. FEARS ►Meadow is a Pokemon who loves life, so death is an obvious fear. Despite that, it's a rather obvious fear that doesn't really have to be explained since she doesn't have any kind of past trauma to cause this fear. She's just afraid of death because most Pokemon didn't like the thought of death anyway. No. Meadow's biggest fear is confrontation. She's a Pichu who doesn't like fighting or chaos of any kind, but when another Pokemon is at odds with her, Meadow just feels awful. Confrontation makes her nervous, and is the easiest way of forcing her into a hiding place. Oh, and yelling! If you yell at this Pichu, she will cry. Meadow is a timid Pokemon, so these are by no means her only fears, but to write down every fear she has would simply take too long. These are just her greatest fears. OVERALL Goes without saying, but Meadow is very shy. She is very insecure and unsure of herself, especially in social situations. She isn't normally the one to initiate conversations, especially with strangers, and Meadow hates being the center of attention. This Pichu will instantly freeze, and her heart will jump to her throat if she is expected to speak to them. When she is especially nervous, she is known to go mute and not say a word. Meadow is very soft spoken in general, but she only goes mute when meeting strangers. If she tries to explain things to Pokemon she knows, she sort of whispers. Sometimes she even freezes, even in circumstances where it would better benefit her to run. She also gets bashful very easily. This Pichu also has a gentle and kind disposition, and would much rather stay out of conflicts. She has a large amount of compassion for Pokemon of all shapes and sizes (unless they are from that Nysih Tribe, but even then she isn't particularly mean to them, she just avoids them all together), and tries to help anyone who thinks she could be of any help to the best of her ability. Meadow is an extremely sensitive Pichu and can't handle a lot of harsh tones. Though she tries not to be overly dramatic when she cries, she has a hard time containing how she feels. Meadow doesn't think much of any of the talents she may have and lacks very little confidence in general, so she is susceptible to mean words, or even just constructive criticism, hurting her feelings. Meadow has many fears, most of which are legit. However, she doesn't take well to being scared. Meadow isn't normally one to be aggressive in any sense, but she may let out electricity uncontrollably when scared. Her biggest fear is darkness. She will avoid dark rooms, dark caves, and anything dark as long as she can. Though she is level-headed, Meadow becomes unreasonable and throws her common sense out the window when scared. Though lacking courage, Meadow isn't short on brain cells. She isn't a genius or anything, but she's a great communicator. Though some may explain things in a complicated manner, Meadow is able to explain it in a simpler way. She's also rather resourceful, and is capable of using various materials in a creative way in case of an emergency. That doesn't mean she can build things, but she can use rather unconventional items to help her out. Though she may be easily sensitive, she doesn't normally let the stress of a situation get to her. This isn't her strongest trait, since she has a lot of fears herself. However, her fears tend don't tend to be outrageous, and are rather common fears. Meadow is capable of seeing solutions that are right under Pokemon's noses, even when they are too out of control to see it. The problem is her primary trait is shyness, so she may have the solution, but almost never has the guts to say it to them in a loud enough volume for anyone to hear her. Meadow is a realist, and when push comes to shove, her first instinct isn't to say that every situation will turn out right or every situation will turn out wrong. She looks at the situation as a whole, and then gives her honest opinion. Speaking of honesty, Meadow is a very honest Pokemon. She doesn't tend to sugar coat things because she genuinely wants to help, and she feels like lying to people just to make them feel better does nothing to help them. If she feels they should change something about themselves, she will say it. The catch is that you need to ask her. She won't give you her opinion unless you ask for it. Just be careful, because not everything she says is very nice. She's more than capable of saying horrible things if she thinks its the truth. Meadow, however, isn't blunt and tries to tell the truth with a caring stand point. Meadow tend to let Pokemon walk all over her. She is non-confrontational, so when someone confronts her with anything, she normally lets the other person have their way. Meadow isn't accustomed to fighting for her rights, and she hates competition. She would much rather lose a competition than be the one to make someone else feel like a loser like how she feels. There are certain circumstances when she almost has no choice but to put her foot down. After all, everyone has their limits, and sometimes she so afraid of things she becomes too unreasonable to relent. Meadow is more than capable of making friends, especially if you share things in common with her, but because she has so many fears, she has her moments when she locks herself in her home for days. Whenever anything truly serious or scary is happening, like being attacked by an Outlaw, she will hide in her house and refuse to come out. Though she isn't the toughest Pokemon you'll ever meet, she may be convinced to face her fears should her friends need her to enough. She cares deeply about any of her friends, that is if she had any, and never wishes to let them down in any way shape or form. Meadow is willing to tread places she never imagined she would just to make sure a friend of hers was okay. This Pichu doesn't make friends easily, so she does everything in her power to keep them. HISTORY // BUT WHY? Meadow was born to a male Raichu and female Cinccino within the Invictus borders. Meadow inherited the move Tickle from her mother as a means of self defense without actually harming a Pokemon. This was useful, because she ended up also inheriting her mother's shy and demure personality, which was a lot worse when she was younger. She was one of the older Pichu born among the children of five Pichu and three Minccino, but she had always been non-confrontational from the start. What made things even harder was that her siblings had inherited their father's bold and brash personality. Her siblings were competitive, something that Meadow didn't appreciate since that would mean they tried to force her to be too, and they all had high levels of confidence. Each and every one of her siblings had high egos, so they took every opportunity to beat the poor Pichu down. There was nothing particularly wrong with Meadow. She was as normal a Pichu as one could be, and there was really nothing special about her. Her personality, though, caused her to be the target of their egos. The fact that she would get coddled by her mother only made matters worse, and the older the Pichu was, the harsher the bullying from her siblings. Particularly the Pichu. The Minccino didn't really think much of Meadow and rarely talked to her at all. For the most part, they simply treated her in a polite manner, but not like a family member. Meadow's siblings weren't horrible Pokemon. They were merely children doing as children did. But as a result of this, they didn't realize the damage they were causing their sister. At the age of seven, Meadow and her siblings all witnessed an evolution for the first time. A Butterfree was a friend of the parents, and she graciously allowed all the Pichu and Minccino to watch her Caterpie children to evolve into Metapod. The reason for this was because Raichu and Cinccino both felt that their children were ready to evolve themselves, though perhaps the Minccino could wait a bit. Upon learning evolution, it wasn't long before the Pichu started evolving into Pikachu. Some took longer than others, though, especially for the younger Pichu. Out of her siblings, though, she has taken the longest to evolve. Every Pichu aside from her self had evolved into Pikachu by the age of ten, but she is currently still a Pichu at the age of eighteen. The Pichu had become so bitter at the thought of not being able to evolve into Pikachu like her other siblings, she had done things she wasn't proud of. Meadow met a meek little Oddish that she would occasionally see walking to school with her. Meadow, in a fit of anger, took her rage out on the Oddish despite being relatively smaller than him. For days, she continued bullying the poor Oddish, taking her pent up aggression she'd been suppressing her entire life on him. It took until he yelled at her, after three months of abuse, for her to snap out of her disgusting behavior. Despite everything she tries to do, Meadow has yet to make amends with that Oddish, who has since evolved into a Gloom. It wasn't from a lack of trying, mind you, but the Oddish had grown wary of the Pichu and refused any sort of association. It wasn't like Meadow blamed him or anything. The idea that she could do such a thing for such a long time just... really hurt. But she was certain that he was hurt as well, so she's since stopped trying. On a lighter not, though, she did finally find herself a source of happiness. Oh not in the form of a friend, but in the form of a hobby. Meadow found herself interested in tending to a flower garden, a rather unconventional hobby for a Pichu. But this was the boost to her happiness that the now teenager needed to finally evolve into a Pikachu. Despite this, Meadow never evolved, and though she thought all of the teasing from her siblings would stop, somehow they seemed to just get worse. They never actually did anything to her garden, because they knew she loved it and they weren't those kinds of bullies. But they did tease her for having such a "pansy hobby". Meadow would correct them, saying that pansies were actually really tough flowers, but that didn't stop them from teasing her. Even the Minccino thought that her electrical power, though she was never very skilled in that, was wasted on flowers. Wasted because Meadow never really uses any of her powers to take care of these flowers. Her favorite flowers to raise have always been Pansies, ironically, but also bulb plants, such as daffodils. Pretty soon, Pokemon started interacting with her because she did such a good job tending to her flowers. Meadow was asked to give various Pokemon, most of which weren't grass or fairy type Pokemon, tips on how to keep these particular plants thriving. She would give them some easy and fun tricks on how she waters her plants, as well as tricks on how to keep them from getting completely wilted from the sun, or drown in the rain. Still, that was as far as her interactions with others went. The moment they received the information they needed, the Pokemon would be off doing business as usual. Still, it was a good step toward some possible socializing one day, right? Well, by the time she turned fifteen, Meadow soon discovered that she was the problem. Every time she tried to converse with other Pokemon, her throat sort of froze and she became mute. If they happened to be asking her about flowers, her love for them would bloom so strongly that she would forget about her previous fear of communication. But, aside from those rare circumstances, Meadow her interaction with other Pokemon would all be the same. They would try to start a conversation with her, just out of sheer curiosity, she'd clam up, and they'd awkwardly walk away, regretting even speaking with her. Then, they would never initiate the conversation again. Even Pokemon she'd helped with their flowers would feel to awkward to interact with her. At the age of fifteen, Meadow made the decision that it would be best for her not to evolve all the way to Raichu, though some may have thought it was a little soon for her to make a decision like that since she had yet to even evolve into a Pikachu. Her parents gave her siblings the option to evolve using the Evolution Stones, but Meadow felt that she would be the perfect size as a Pikachu. She wouldn't be small, like a Pichu, but wouldn't be too big, like a Raichu. Pikachu just seemed to be a perfect stage right at the middle. Some may have thought being a Pikachu was too small, but Meadow didn't really want to get that big. Turning eighteen, though, has been her biggest mile stone. Now, she was finally able to live alone in her own home, and even had a new job at the nearby flower shop. It was an absolute dream come true for her. No more teasing, and she even got paid to tend to flowers. As a grown up, she still needed to attend school, but another aspect of her life couldn't be the same anymore. Now that she wasn't in constant contact with her family anymore, Meadow knew that she had to make friends somehow. She'd been eighteen for a few months now, but still hasn't made any progress. She seriously considered meeting up with that Gloom to make amends, but simply brushed that idea away. That Gloom wouldn't budge, and she knew it. She wouldn't if it was the other way around. ...Well, it would seem like Meadow would have to find someone else willing to socialize with her. There was one thing, though, that she knew for certain. This wouldn't be easy. OOC // WE UNDERSTAND OOC NAME ►cynda1 OTHER CHARACTERS ►None |
