We're a battle calculator free pokemon mystery dungeon roleplay that doesn't pester you to keep track of hunger, power points, or paths in a dungeon as we are focused on the roleplay more so than the mechanics. Characters can be anything from a representative of their country to a lowly outlaw that's just trying to get by. We have our own lore and an entire section called "The Encyclopedia" dedicated to explaining the world around our characters that'll be updated more and more as time goes on!

Will an already established character ever be able to turn albino, shiny, or melanistic?
You cannot retcon a character into being any of these, but there may be events in the future that will allow you to change your character to one of these in the future. Keep an eye out!
can members create missions? Can they make mission requests from their own character? How would rewards work from them?
Yes, but please have it be approved by a staff member first. If it's just a mission idea then you wont need to supply the reward. If it involves your character, you must place the reward from your own wallet.
can I make up my own country and be the supreme leader of it? Can I have my own board or subboard? Can I make major events like a tsunami or summoning a legendary somehow?
You can make your own country, but you're a representative/politician, not the leader. Your country also can't be a super buff major power because you have to work your way to the top through the Political Points. You cannot make major events like a tsunami or summoning a legendary pokemon without admin permission. You can have your own boards and sub-boards if you prove your country to be interesting and that you're actually going to stick around and not flake. If the member flakes anyways after getting everything set up, another member can take over the position.
could some "DM" or otherwise post as NPCs on their OOC account? Could someone RP with themselves this way?
Keep RP posts on RP accounts, if you're rping with yourself you just double post except all "Rps" with yourself need to be at least 500 words each post.
Can members use more thAn one of their own characters in a thread? Are bosses free to control, or staff only?
Members can use more than one character per thread if they want, but the word minimum for each post still applies, you don't need to wait for staff to fight a boss, members can control them.
can I make one-post threads in the Tome Dungeon to get easy books?
Anyone caught doing this for easy tomes are going to have all posts and tomes gained not counted towards their post count. If you want to do the dungeon alone do a proper solo-dungeon.
What's the rate of the money? Where do I get money?
You get 10 per post in all roleplaying boards. Anything out of character will not give money.
What are the limits on NPCs?
You can make them, but follow the normal rules of character creation. They can't be some super cool shiny haxorus that your character just happens to be friends with. That being said, not all pokemon in dungeons HAVE to be hostile. They can be other military, civilians, or even just pokemon that are willing to give you a hand.
My character is an elite member of white dawn trained to be the very best that ever was from birth...so why do I have to start at level 10/15?
If you want some super monstrous battle character you're going to have to start from the bottom and work your way up. You can't just be born a badass.
Can a character level up in the middle of a dungeon?
They remain as the level they enter in. If you gained a level by another thread outside of that dungeon then the next thread will have your updated level
Can I pick a higher level move from the learnset as an inherited egg move?
No, strictly egg moves.
How does leveling work in threads? Can I make a past thread to boost my character's level in a thread that takes place in the future?
When you make a thread, you are locked into that level yous started with unless you RP 3 pages in that thread. Your level will update to your most recent update when you make an all new thread. This means if you're level 10 and you go into Explorer's Respite with someone else who is level 10, you will both be level 11 by the time you reach the boss, but you wont grow in levels for that thread if you have another ongoing and incomplete thread that takes place before that thread that has had say 6 pages.
when a pokemon evolves, do they get access to the Level 1 moves, or do they need to buy them?
Nope, they can learn those level one moves immediately!
Fakemon? Custom Movesets? Change of Typing?
No, we are following the games. This includes regional varients as we only accept Alolan Pokemon.
How does Metronome Work?
It's up to you, but please know that abuse of this would be considered god-modding. You can't possibly have the perfect move every time. If you would like to use a website please use this one.
How Does Pick Up work
Pick-Up it works just like in the games and has no OOC effect to it really. The only real use you'd get out of it is being able to re-use an orb the enemy used or something. Please know that Edibles cannot be "picked up" or re-used if the opponent uses it. That would be kind of gross if it was even possible.
Can a character tutor another a move?
No, if you want a tutor move you're going to need to buy a tome. If you want to, you could buy the tome and then have it be tutored by another pokemon for plot reasons.
How do healing moves work?
Healing moves such as Recover, Regenerate, and Heal Pulse take time to take effect. They're not going to magically heal a gaping wound in a matter of seconds.
Are organ transplants and blood transfusions possible, or do moves suppliment that?
Healing moves basically replace medical procedures. Berries, seeds, and plants are the substitute for today's modern medicine as pokemon take on a more herbal approach.
Can pokemon with water absorb and like abilities be healed by using those type moves on them?
Absorbers can be energized and their body's healing process can be sped up, but mortal injuries and such can't just be magicked away by spraying a water-absorber with a super soaker.
do abilities like rough skin and drought have some semblance of control, or are they perma on?
These kinds of abilities are activated while under stress, they can't really turn it off though once it's on until they've completely calmed down or the effect goes away on its own in the cases of Drought.
moves are created by infusing a pokemon's energy with an element to create the attack. How long does the item(s) created by this attack last - such as the rocks from a Rock Slide, or the leaves from Razor Leaf?
Using a move would draw energy for as long as the move is being used.
Could a nonelectric type using Thunder Punch end up electrocuting themselves if they lose focus or are otherwise startled? Afraid of themselves?
pokemon can hurt themselves with their own moves if they screw up.
how lethal are moves that inflict self KO like explode or healing wish? What about Perish Song?
Self-destruct expels all the pokemon's available energy to attack, causing them to pass out. Healing wish uses all their available energy to heal someone, to the same effect. Perish Song drains all the target's energy, Not particularly deadly on their own, but they leave the pokemon in an extremely vulnerable state.
how do frustration and return work?
Frustration and Return do more or less damage based on how happy the pokemon is. Their damage is only maxed if the attackin pokemon's personality is an extreme.
Wait so Pikachu can Fly? It learns it in a previous generation.
Fly on a Pikachu would be more akin to Bounce than actually flying. The pikachu just jumps into the air, it does not actually fly.
Can pikachu still learn its cosplay moves and can rotom learn its other forme's moves?
No, they need to be that form in order to use the move. So a Pikachu cannot Draco Meteor and a Rotom can't Hydro Pump.
Does relicanth count as a fossil pokemon due to how ancient and unchanged they are?
Nope. They're old, not extinct.
Do litwick eat physical food or only the life force of other pokemon?
All pokemon are capable of eating physical food. They can eat things like poffins and berries. Litwick draining the lifeforce of another is a controlled choice.
can a meganium's breath heal grass types like it does normal plants?
Grass-types don't exactly have the same biology as normal plants, so while a meganium's breath may feel nice or be able to heal very minor injuries, it wouldn't be able to do anything significant.
Does a ponyta get to control if their flamethrower damages someone like their fire manes and tail do?
They can control the temperature of their flamethrowers, but since it's not the same as their mane, it's gonna hurt.
can deerling and sawsbuck choose to 'lock' into a seasonal appearance?
The appearance change is completely out of their control unless they have the move Camouflage, in which case they can actively change their appearance to match their surroundings. Otherwise, they cannot "Lock" their appearance.
can gardevoir make black holes?
A gardevoir can make a black hole but it's not as strong as a normal black hole and it requires the gardevoir's entire aura, effectively killing it.
What does rotom posses for form changes?
Rotom gets to be Rotom and that's it. The other forms were never created in this world, so it's not possible for them to exist.
Anything non-aquatic should have a steady supply of Slip Seeds as they will pull oxygen from the water around them in order to create an air pocket in the shape of their body. It's generally recommended to have an actual water type nearby, as you won't be able to swim with one of these consumed and you'll walk on the sea floor.
Do real life animals exist?
No, we are purely pokemon.
Do pokemon have languages and writing? Is there a universal sign language?
There is one universal language that is taught to every pokemon, but there are other ancient languages specific to some areas. There are footprint runes and unown runes for reading and writing, but generally, unown runes are the more widely accepted forms of writing for formal papers while footprint is quicker and reserved for informal communications. As for sign language, pokemon generally don't have similar enough bodies to be able to come up with one universal language, so the deaf and mute are usually given an assistant with mind reader to help them along.

If they want to, they can. They'll have to be prepared to face criticism for it as it's a major and complicated issue in the pokemon's society.

Not unless they have a move that could feasibly explain that
