Event // Vote for A Dungeon
HELLO, EVERYONE!
It's time for the voting phase! Please vote with only ONE of your accounts on which dungeon you would like to see win! Since there are only four entries, Staff picks will be changed to staff votes, so there will only be two winners.
THE ENTRIES
Dungeon Name: Applepine Forest
Dungeon Description: The Applepine Forest is a strange place; a forest consisting of apple trees and pine trees growing together and forming a tangled mass of roots and branches. It is a beautiful place, with a mixure of dark pine leaves and vivid green apple leaves mixing with the shadowed interior beneath the canopy and the bright red apples that one can find in abundance within the dungeon; yet, it has a mysterious feel given to it by the way the roots of the trees twist with each other and the gnarled trunks of some of the ancient trees growing in the forest. Where the apple trees stand, the sunlight dapples the ground and creates a bright atmosphere, which when under the pine trees loses its luster and darkens.
Dungeon Lore: The forest itself formed a long, long time ago, with some of the trees rumoured to have been saplings all the way back before the war. It is said that the forest was originally an apple tree grove which was seeded with pine tree seeds, resulting in what is today known as the Applepine Forest.
The forest was discovered an unrecorded amount of time ago when a small pack of growlithe stumbled upon it. They were a unique group of growlithe, ones who were not keen on the use of fire, and who preferred the shade to the sun. And the forest was, to them, a perfect place to settle; and up until close to the present day that was their home, unknown to anyone else but them.
The pack's peace did not last when an explorer discovered the forest and its treasure horde of apples that could be found there; it has since become known as the Applepine Forest and a dungeon for the outside world to visit should they so choose.
Specifics: The pack of growlithe were rather passive about their home becoming a place to explore. They decided they were okay with it so long as the forest was treated respectfully and its nature preserved. It is said that if one harms the forest deliberately, a growlithe will appear to drive you out of its home.
Common Pokemon: Spinarak, Hoppip, Murkrow, Butterfree, Cutiefly
In general, bug, grass, and dark types tend to make this place their home.
Sometimes, although rarely, one might stumble upon one of the Growlithe inhabitants. These guys tend to be friendly towards you and perhaps be inclined to help you out, so long as you don't disrespect its home.
Dungeon Name: Hunters' Cove
Dungeon Description: Just as one might expect from its location just by the ocean, the entire stone-roofed area is filled with water; even those just stepping in will find themselves ankle-deep or so in it. One must be certain to tread carefully; the water levels vary from spot to spot, room to room, though there's always multiple pathways to safely proceed along. Be wary as well of shadows within the water; sometimes, it's something valuable floating along that had been lost to the ocean. Other times, it's something more worrisome.
Dungeon Lore: Formed after centuries of weather and wear, and a bit of aid from local pokemon seeking to make their way through, the cove became a natural haven for water pokemon, as well as a few aerial predators swooping through the holes left here and there in the cavernous roof. Supposedly, some of the more predatorial water pokemon have taken it upon themselves to form the pathways that grounded pokemon are able to use to become unwitting 'prey', but this itself is merely speculation. In reality, it's the consistent ebb and flow of the water itself shifting the pathways now and then.

Common Pokemon: Carvanha, Spearow, Wingull, Mantyke/Mantine, Wishiwashi
Dungeon Name: Palace of Mirrors
Dungeon Description: Once, presumably, a thriving capital, now reduced largely to rubble. Old, stone lampposts line the stairway up to the old, thin-walled Palace itself, within which are plenty of winding corridors, rooms of various types, even relics of a bygone age if one were to look. Many of the walls, however, are -- or in some cases, were -- mirrors; many now lay shattered, but there are enough still in the dimly-lit structure that one might be able to get a look around the corner if one is careful. Be wary, however; ghosts now make this place their home, and few dare to come near.
Dungeon Lore: True to its appearance, once, the area around the Palace was a capital city, with the Palace itself standing true. Built in such a way that the winding corridors and occasional mirror placement would make it well defensible, it ultimately didn't last forever, and some of its own defenses were turned against the inhabitants. Since its fall, it went abandoned -- if it could be so readily taken, it wasn't worth the effort to defend. Just as well, the city fell with it, before rumors started to swirl of vengeful ghosts -- presumably old residents not terribly pleased about what had become of the place. Now it continues to sit, slowly eroding away but with few daring to give it a blow lest they gain the attention of the inhabitants within it.

Common Pokemon: Litwick/Lampent, Elgyem, Gastly, Yamask
Dungeon Name: Screamtree Jungle.
Dungeon Description: Brambling vines makes a brilliant place for hiding, and the arching branches of trees makes it difficult for anyone to navigate these jungles. Treasure the constant chatter and occasional appearance of lesser hostile beings - it means that greater dangers have not appeared in your vincinity. The lush green environment of the Screamtree Jungle makes it simple for one to forget the danger that surrounds them, but to believe it safe is to invite danger in this jungle - one false step and danger pounces. The strong upper limbs of the many trees makes wonderful nesting grounds for the mulittude of flying types, and the dense ground covering makes safe havens for a multitude of small pokemon. A stream runs haphazardly through the jungle, providing drinking water for many pokemon who live there.
Dungeon Lore: Spreading across the eastern border of Invictus, the Screamtree jungles provide many natural resources used in modern medicine. For those who dare to enter, the untouched wilds of the screamtree jungle provide a tantalising rewards, as well as the treasures of those who failed to escape from the jungle. The jungle is largely untamed, with few knowing a safe way in and out. There are those that farm on its edges, but such settlements are carefully guarded against intrusions by pokemon from the jungle.
