Staff Search // Want To Help Out?
Okay, as you might have noticed quite a lot of people have joined since we opened and I am one person and Babylon has some personal business to take care of. To be quite honest, I had not expected the site to expand this quickly and figured I could handle it for a bit on my own while business is sorted. Please note that I am not overworked or going to shut down the site if I don't get some help, this is just so people can volunteer and give a hand or two if they want. If I can get people to help out, then business around the site would be finished much quicker once people get threads going and won't have to wait until I'm available.
However, I'm not going to throw mod status at each and every person and then slap them with a book of everything that needs to be done on the entire site. Instead, there are certain jobs you can apply for that do certain things and everyone is focused on certain tasks instead of having one big mess of "what am I doing again". These tasks are listed below. If you are interested in becoming a full-time mod that does more than these basics such as help people get their money, giving people their dungeon prizes, regulate rules such as OOC Accounts, create logs, and assist people with getting closer to having their bios accepted sooner by me through informing them of issues you may see, contact me through private message and we'll talk.
If you only want to do a specific one or few of those things I listed for a "full time" mod then please state so.
While I understand this site is new and most of our members have only just recently joined, keep in mind I'm not going to be taking people who joined and have not made a character yet.
LOG UPDATER [CLOSED]
This is a relatively simple job, as all you need to do is update people's logs. When someone posts a thread on Staff Request that is completed, updated the logs with the thread information and pages. Every page on the thread contributes to one page and every extra post of an incomplete page contributes to the "solo-post count". All you need to do is update those two, the levels, and any level up moves the pokemon might have learned by leveling up. If the user used a Tome, then update the thread with the move it was used on and specify where/how the tome was received and link to it. If the tome was bought from the shop, get a link to the post when the user posts for the item to be used on Staff Request.
We will know if someone is trying to give their own character items out of nowhere since they won't be able to link to any proof of the item.
MISSION UPDATER [ONE POSITION OPEN]
While this person will not be able to reward missions their money upon completion, it is their duty to read the thread and make sure the objective was properly completed before moving the thread to the finished category. These Updaters are also allowed to create their own missions and assign rewards to these missions without the assistance of an admin or money from their own wallet if they use NPCs for the mission. This means they will still need to run a mission by an admin if they desire to make a mission concerning their character. Missions created by these members are forced to abide by a 100 poke per required page reward in order to avoid abuse of strictly making expensive missions for their own characters to take.
You will be given a better guide on how to do both of these jobs these exactly in the future.
