Class Explanations // The Full Pack
Hey, so you decided to check out the full explanation! Hope you like reading.
CIVILIANS
Civilians range from bakers to salesmons. They're the most free and peaceful class of the bunch more often than not. Civilians often live in Invictus and if not, they want to live there. It's not all that uncommon for a Civilian to be in Invictus without proper papers as Invictus is highly fantasized as a utopia free of any war between countries that may be brought up.
While it's highly recommended for a character to live in Invictus for the sake of easier roleplay threads, it's entirely possible for them to live in another country and visit Invictus frequently or for long periods of time.
When pokemon are born, they are born as civilians. As they grow up they are often sent to schools by their parents, but sometimes parents refuse for whatever reason. It's not legally required for parents to send their kids to school. As the kids grow up, they can choose their occupation and get jobs. Civilians are the best class to choose if you do not know which class to take as it's the easiest to transition into a different class from. Keep in mind that legitimate development is needed for these class changes.
Any pokemon of any age can be a civilian.
MILITARY/EXPLORER
Military and explorers are the same thing. Over the history of this world, there's need a need to both defend the territory and explore strange ruins for resources. Militaries are used as the police, explorers, and warriors when conflict arises between nations. There are two divisions, Military and Explorer. While those that are recruited are allowed to participate in both, it's normal for a pokemon to specialize in one area. Younger pokemon often choose Explorer over the army so they can gain more experience before they transfer later on. In times of dire emergencies, explorers will be required to assist the army. Out of character, I will more commonly refer to them as "Military".
Most members of Invictus's militia are comprised of warriors from other countries. You are not required to be a part of Invictus's personal military and can instead be a recruit brought in from another country that goes back and forth. Each soldier/explorer is expected to have at least some sort of experience in combat and often looked to for protection and asked whenever an argument needs to be settled. These soldiers are not watched as closely as White Dawn, so it's possible for an officer to abuse their authoritative power over the civilians. Those that go too far and are caught somehow usually disappear mysteriously before too much of a fuss is caused concerning them.
Warriors are often recruited at a young age, but a pokemon that has not yet reached physical and mental maturity will not be allowed to begin their training. This means a pokemon that is the equivalent of a 14-year-old human will be told to go back home to their parents. The military does not discriminate against who may join their ranks, however, the most common pokemon in this class happen to be fossil pokemon along with pokemon such as the porygon lines along with golett lines.
While this is the most common class for Type:Null and Silvally to be in, they are still rare as the species itself is rare.
OUTLAW
Outlaws are those that have strayed from the law into their own set of morals. They can be anything from petty thieves to completely amoral murderers.
While any pokemon can be an outlaw, particularly young pokemon are either sent back to their parents or taken to a juvenile detention center depending on the severity of what they have done. In the event of outlaws being detained with children in tow, the children are sent to an orphanage to be properly raised and taken care of.
POLITICAL FIGURE
Political figures are the representatives of their country in the Multi-National Security Panel. They are brought to Invictus in order to represent their country and work to get relations and trades going. Pokemon in here are usually two-faced and appear very polite and peaceful even when a heated debate is going on. Many tend to be corrupt in this category as those who play fair are squashed to the bottom of the ladder.
A character that wants to transfer into a political class can only do so in an established country, the default being Invictus itself. If you're trying to make your own country, your character needs to have been a political figure from the start.
Only a mentally and physically mature pokemon can be a political leader. Nobody's going to vote for, elect, or allow a child to lead them.
Political Leaders tend to have power and money as they are usually sponsored or wealthy through their own means. While Invictus advertises itself as equal among all pokemon, it's completely not true as you might have noticed with the Controversial Pokemon thread. Political leaders are the "aristocrats" and the military usually look the other way whenever they spy a political leader doing something they are not supposed to be doing. White Dawn is supposed to be what keeps them in check. When a political leader gains enough power, the White Dawn station two of their rank to guard the leader both for protection...and surveillance.
Their backgrounds are usually from high class though occasionally you're going to see a diamond in the rough story here and there. Certain pokemon may face difficulty being in this class, as Ditto and Zoroark are put under intense investigations on a regular basis and are often used as scapegoats. Type:Null and Silvally are banned from being in this position period due to their origins along with how much controversy surrounds them.
WHITE DAWN
White Dawn are the "lawful good" of the country. They are a secret task force that was created by the MNSP to keep each other in check as well as protect pokemon in general. The problem here is, the MNSP is almost entirely corrupt and is in possession of full power over White Dawn. White Dawn as an organization survives on the fact that any who suggest getting rid of it are immediately questioned for intent. While White Dawn can expose a political leader, it is a useful weapon in weeding out other leaders.
The MNSP can not simply be joined, as they carefully hand pick their recruits from all over the globe. The only pokemon they happen to discriminate against is Type:Null. If they spy a promising Type:Null, they will not allow it among their ranks until it is a Silvally in case the pokemon is mentally unstable and thus unusable. White Dawn begins its search even at relatively young ages. They search for skill in pokemon before they take them under their wing.
The White Dawn are required to keep their identities a secret unless absolutely necessary to all but Political Figures. Each White Dawn member is watched carefully by higher ups even after they select someone to be a part of them. Corruption is not accepted in this group and will be found eventually. Those that have been exposed suffer jail time and are discharged from White Dawn, never to return.
