ALDERA, tilse. FULL NAME: Tilkosha Aldera AGE: Nineteen BIOLOGICAL GENDER: Female MEMBER GROUP: Outlaw HOME COUNTRY: Maldrear OCCUPATION: Con artist / information broker/ common thief POKEMON // WHAT ARE YOU? SPECIES: Solosis ABILITY: Magic guard LEVEL: 10 EGG MOVE AND CLASS BONUS: Secret Power and start with 700 gold DRASTIC CHANGES: Normal OVERALL APPEARANCE Bright grass green with one spiralling horn on her head, protected by a gelatinous layer of translucent green, Tilse has made peace with the fact she possesses no arms. It's quite easy to do so, after all, when your superior psychic powers allows reach as easily as mere hands. More so, since no one needed to realise that it was her that had taken their coins. She prides herself on seeming mischievously innocent. Someone that likes small pranks, but would never go near another's stuff. Other species often find it hard to tell the age of her kind, she has found, and she uses it to her full advantage. PERSONALITY // WHO ARE YOU? LIKES ✔shiny objects - tilse is, in fact, a kleptomaniac as well as a collector of odd objects. She's got a few odds and ends and decorations floating around in her gel membrane, though nothing so unusual that someone might identify it as their own. She hoards those at home. ✔travelling - in the short span of her life, she has visited many different countries, trying to find a place that suited her. As of right now, she still has no itention of settling down permanently, though she has a semi-permanent residence on the edges of Invictus for her and her sister, she often travels to other countries. ✔chaos - half of life is chaos, or so Tilse believes. She functions the best in chaos, using her ability to improvise to gain the upper hand while others are still trying to get used to the new situation. Plus, no one would bother to notice a little solosis lifting their wallet away while they are panicking, will they? DISLIKES ✖mercy - Tilse knows nothing of mercy. For her, it's winner takes all, and she is not one to ever pull her punches in any situation, even in a friendly fight. To show someone mercy is to show that they were so far below the victor on the power ladder that no one needed to worry about possible revenge, a backhanded insult of the worst kind. Tilse, who respects her opposition, would never attempt to go easy on them, even if they ask to be spared. ✖advice - Tilse has full confidence in herself, as well as any other person's abilities. Or maybe she just underestimates her opponents' strengths all the time. She hates being lectured about what she should do, preferring to rely on her own instincts to see her through, and would rarely dispense advice of her own, believing that if others are worthy, they would achieve what they need. ✖stubborness - a rather go with the flow pokemon, she finds it hard to understand why others are stuck in their ways, since her worldview are always shifting and changing. She can't help but become exasperated when faced with stubborn pokemon, and would often complain about them to their face. HABITS ►levitating everything she can - she tends to use levitation to steal what she can. Although she wouldn't steal anything in plain sight, she has a tendency to get a telekinetic hold on everything, just to give her some insurance, if she needs to get away in a hurry, ►absorbing things into her membrane - tilse is a collector, above all things, and she's never truly comfortable unless she has a hold on whatever she owns herself. Not even putting something she owns under lock and key helps, as she knows she may need to leave where she is as fast as possible. When nervous, she tends to act as if she is already packing for the next location she will travel to. FEARS ►being alone - tilse is a sociable person, and hates when she is alone. Besides it being extremely boring, it feels as if she has taken a wrong choice, which others have not taken, which landed her where she is now. As a result, she tends to head to where the crowd is the thickest, and often brings her sister along with her, when she can. OVERALL Tilse does not understand the meaning of tact in the least. She charges headfirst into things. She tends to operate on an act first, talk later basis, though she will pause to think, even if only rarely. Her small size does not seem to affect the way she acts, and she is always full of herself, dramatising every action she does. She tends to project a confident aura, though she is not above begging, if it getd what she needs. She's not one for lies, although she sometimes enjoys talking in riddles and roundabout ways, that should not be taken seriously. Giving others hints they won't understand is one of her favourite activities. Her more or less straightforward attitude means that she isn't afraid to stick her nose into another's business, whether it is wanted or unwanted - especially if it's unwanted. She's not there for the gossip or to dirty her hands helping others - anything others don't want her knowing can be turned into an advantage somehow. She's only had the very basic education - she knows her letters and numbers, little more - but she's had time to hone her practical cunning into a fine, sharp point. Usually, she tends to leave planning to others, as brutality is good enough for most tasks, but when playing a game with a trickster, she finds no good reason to give the opposition an easy time. It's also helpful when she want's some newfangled shiny thing and doesn't want to get her hands dirty. Her lack of an education also means that she lacks manners - though it's uncertain that she would possess them even with a good education - and tends to stick out like a sore thumb in high-calss events, not that she has any place in them anyways. She knows how to grovel, surely, but flattery is a very different thing from manners. Her particular brand of diplomacy involves bashing those less powerful than her on the head and kissing the feet of those that have power over her. Despite her brash attitude, she highly enjoys talking to others. Or talking at others, as the case may be. She's constantly speaking, regardless of whether others listen. She doesn't possess much manners, often making jokes at another's expense. When she feels she has gone too far, she would back down and say that she was 'joking' but never really apologise. She enjoys being with a group of people, not necessarily those that she knows well, as long as they don't mind her words and don't pick a fight with her. Tilse is a bit of a fair-weather friend, sticking close to her friends' side in times of peace, but quick to leave them alone when trouble comes. She makes friends easily, but the word friend has a lot less meaning to her than to some other people. To her, friends is someone you talk to, while family is the one to trust. In her defense, she believes that this holds true for everyone, and does not expect her friends' aid when she is in trouble. While she may be a sociable pokemon, she is by no means a pleasant companion, whether in a fight, or in a conversation. She doesn't hold a grudge very well, provided the other party does not hold a grudge either, but when there is something for her to pay back, either for good or ill, it's certain that she'll put her metaphorical back into making sure it's fully paid. She seems cheeful most of the time, but her attitude does not express her kindness. She's merciless when required to, and frankly, wouldn't bat an eye at cruelty being performed in front of her, as long as she isn't the subject. Her morals are questionable at best, and at worst, nonexistent. Her primary goal in life is money - and any shiny trinkets she can get her hands on - and having no one to properly teach her why morals were important before she had developed her own mind, had long since left the question of what was right and wrong by the wayside. Her habit of plotting to steal eveything in sight makes her the one to watch in large crowded areas. She's always looking for more valuables, her less than financially stable past contributing to her tireless hoarding of shinies. If it's not in someone's pocket, it's automatically a free for all in Tilse's mind, and since she's usually the only one thinking this way, she's usually the one to claim, or steal, it. She expect others to act in the same way, too, keeping all her valuables close to her, but never bothering to reclaim anything she's lost. It's not like anyone can prove who it belonged to first. HISTORY // BUT WHY? tilkoshe was born in maldrear, a country of snow and ice, to a duosion and a litwick. They were content together, if not perfectly happy, the attractions they felt when they were young now fading into mere tolerance. She was born later in their lives, after they had both settled down, and her mother felt that they could support a child. During that period of time, Tilse' mother took care of the solosis, though she has some memories of her father's care for her, too. Despite this, they were not necessarily a peaceful family. Her parents argued every now and then, infrequent at the very start, but occuring more often as she grew. She merely remembers a time where the raised voices of her parents could be heard almost every second night, without many memories of when they were happy, together. Her family began to break down more rapidly once her younger sister was born. She was... odd, and not everyone understood that it was just a simple variation of color. Her mother, in particular, who stcuk with traditions, viewed such a mutation to be a symbol of weakness, and believed that it marked her younger daughter a pariah, and, consequently, herself an outcast in society. The duosion chose to blame it on her husband. After all, no other mother had such a child, and their relationship was already fragile. Her father, a kinder soul, or at least more logical, did not appreciate her treatment of her youngest daughter, and said as much, one night when he came home early. The fight that ensued saw the mother storm outside their home in the middle of the night. She never came back, leaving one father to care for two children. Tilse's father did not feel that he could take care of two children, and eventually, left without a word, leaving the two children for the orphanage when Tilse was seven. Contrary to many others at the orphanage, she did not feel the depression as much. Partially, it was because of her willingness to instigate trouble, rather than let trouble roll over her. Pertly, it was because she had another to rely on. Her sister was only five or so, but the troubles they had faced made her mature faster, just as tilse had, but in different ways. Tilse was the perpetrator, bold and ignorant of rules, while her sister was the manipulator, always seeming so stoic, but managing to worm her way into everyone's hearts. Family, however, always stuck together, in Tilse's eyes, even if her mother and father failed to, and while her sister was reluctant to admit this at first, grew to accept it, with her older sister's influence. Neither of them were model children. Tilse would skip classes, and had a habit of filching things from her classmates, as well as instigate trouble between them, without revealing her influence. Her sister was more manageable, or at least acted in such a way. Tilse was not in the least content with her situation. She possessed very little worldly beings, for while the orphanage provided the basics, they gave very little else. At school, she watched as other children showed off their toys, and envied them. She was a person of action, however, and was not content to just be envious. Her actions caused great distress for her caretakers and teachers, but she didn't care. She didn't recognise their authority, and rarely reacted to their warnings, unless there was a possible punishment. In the end. She quit school and left the orphanage at sixteen. She wandered for a bit in Maldrear, unsure of what to do or where to go. OOC // WE UNDERSTAND |
